A–U
I've been trying to be able to post on this list and have finally done it! Thanks, Vonna. Been working steadily on this project all spring and summer. Am stitching it on 28 count linen over 1 thread and using half cross (continental/basketweave) stitch as my primary stitch with as many other "needlepoint" stitches as I am able. Cannot imagine how long it would have taken me using cross stitch. Try to stitch about 2 hours a night every night. Have used mostly the charted colors but have gone a shade or 2 lighter in the "letter boxes" that are filled in with black/brown. Need to be knitting a shawl for myself to wear to a wedding in October, but I hate to put my alphabet down. At this point I want to finish it. Hope you enjoy my pics. --Nancy in Naperville, IL

Thank you very much. Try some other kinds of stitches on yours. They're some times faster and give the piece some texture too. Nancy
Absolutely magnificent. Congratulations.
Wow! Completely amazing and impressive! Great job :D
I love your interpretation of these charts by using the different stitch techniques! I agree that they give depth and texture to the designs, not to mention a bit of time saving. Really nice needlework!
Wow Nancy!

Beautiful work! I started cross stitching and am inspired to (hopefully) one day resume after seeing this.
Beautiful work! Thank you for sharing the pictures.
These are absolutely gorgeous! I'm planning to start this series, but could never handle over one. Beautiful!
I don't know if Nancy from IL still gets on this blog but I LOVE the use of embroidery stitches to do a cross stitch piece. I wanted to know: how many strands of DMC floss she used over 1 on the 28-count linen for the basic basket/half stitch? Looks amazing! I'd like to try something similar for a project I'm working on. Thank you!
