Renew...

Stitchers....I'm getting my rear end into gear with this project. So let's all RENEW ourselves garner our energy, enthusiasm and revive our stitching on this most beautiful of projects!!!

I am setting myself a goal...I promise to finish my next letter by the end of the year. Anyone gonna join me? That's a good 10 weeks to finish just one letter!

Leave a comment to join the challenge!

I'm definitely going to make more time for mine, Vonna. I love it when I take it out, but I can only do the over one so long. Plus, I've been kinda busy, lol!

Vonna, I keep thinking about my poor Prairie Schooler ABC too. Maybe I should join your challenge. I'll have to see about my commitments though. See how I waffle? lol! Well, how about I promise to pull the piece out by the end of the year? lol!

OK Vonna ~ sounds good ~ I will pull mine out as well! We just need to attack this thing in small bits ~ one letter at a time (-:

I have been plugging away at this... and I do mean plugging. I love this project, but need just the right light and not to be exhausted! I am on D is for Drum right now and hope to finish E as well by the end of the year... anything else is a bonus.

I'm so ashamed...I haven't finished a single one...but I'm over-booked for the rest of the year, so I'll have to keep it on the back burner until January!

I stumbled upon this blog several months ago and it inspired me to begin the ABC project! So Dakar I have completed A through F. I also came up with a design to incorporate four seasonal PS patterns -- 2 at the beginning and 2 at the end. I will try to post a progress picture in the next week or so.

I often think about this project and want more progress but somehow never haul out the 4 ft rods to work on the behemoth. I will think about getting a regular goal because this is a fun project when I am actually stitching on it.

I want realistic goals, though. If I set the expectation too high then nothing will get done. 1/2 or 1/4 a pattern a month may be the most I can expect. I will have to test that.

I love these alphabet blocks.

I began the Alphabets today, gulp! I'm doing mine 9 horizontal and 3 vertical with an inch in between each for more decorative alphabets. I love the idea of adding textured stitches into each panel, perhaps with a few drawn thread ones too. Wish me well !

Well, I'm posting this FAR after this was originally posted, but is anyone else working on these or planning to start soon? I just bought my linen and all the DMC floss! As soon as my linen arrives, I hope to start this on Monday!!
