Does anyone have this Prairie Schooler pamphlet? I am wondering if this P for Pincushion could be substituted for the P for Parrot? What are your thoughts?
The stitch count is only 47h x41w so you'd really have to do something with it to make it fit. You've got me thinking though, that I'd love that theme more than the parrot. Let us know what you decide. babs
What a great idea Teresa! You're right to be dissatisfied with the parrot block; I'm going to redesign it myself. I can say I have no objection to your substituting the pincushion, if you think they'll kick you off the blog for doing it. Remember, this is a 'no pressure' blog! I'd love to borrow this chart from someone if it's one of those that are unavailable.
I think you might need to do aa bit of a re-design, because the chart is quite a bit smaller, but it would probably work - you could fill in space the the other motifs.
I'm just watching your blog...although I'd like to join in, I've got so much going on now I know I'd never be able to keep up.
Everyone's stitching is wonderful!!!!
Another personalization idea for the alphabet that just came to me is that you could dedicate a letter for family members, i.e. P is for Paul and then put in little items about that person in that square.

Hey, I like that idea!
Love the idea of using "Pincushion". Hope you'll share if you decide to do it this way.
